British Marine has a vacancy for a Training Executive, to join the team providing services and advice to its member companies. The Training team project manage a range of training courses as well as providing advice and guidance on workforce development to member companies.
Overall function of the role: To provide training and workforce development expertise to meet current and future member needs, to include Apprenticeships and Recruitment/Careers Events.
The role will be:
Full Time: Hours will be 9am to 5pm, with the potential for such other hours as may be required to fulfill the duties of the role.
Based at British Marine’s headquarters in Egham, UK.

List of qualifications, skills, knowledge and experience required to perform the role:
Knowledge of the UK vocational education system.
Current understanding of workforce development issues affecting SMEs.
Knowledge of in-company Learning and Development processes.
Project Management skills.
Good communication skills – written and oral.
Good organisational skills.
Relevant training/workforce development experience.
Qualification and/or course/curriculum development.
Knowledge of eLearning.
Main duties of the role:
Contribute to the development and maintenance of marine specific qualifications and apprenticeship standards.
Liaise with Colleges and Training providers to ensure awareness and consistent delivery of marine programmes and relevant marine sector training.
Provide advice and guidance to members and groups/associations, on skills and workforce development issues.
Contribute to the implementation of the BM careers strategy to ensure suitable recruitment and profile to the Marine sector.
